The Advisor Says: The Saatva Classic is the gold standard for lower-back support, strong edges, and customizable luxury. It’s not the softest or most motion-isolating bed out there, but it’s a dependable, bouncy hybrid that consistently impresses our testers with its two coil units.
The Saatva Classic is an innerspring mattress that comes in three firmness levels and two height options. Within the bed, you’ll find two innerspring units, one with individually wrapped coils and another with interconnected coils. These materials give Saatva’s flagship mattress durable support for long-lasting use and plenty of bounce for combo sleepers.
The Advisor Says: The Midnight has one of the most impressive score spreads of all the mattresses we’ve reviewed. The best word to describe it is “balanced”: it’s got pressure relief, support, and cooling power in spades, plus a versatile medium-firm feel that tends to satisfy lots of sleepers.
If you’re a side sleeper, you’re probably well aware of the effects the wrong mattress can have on your hip and shoulder, which is why a great pressure-relieving bed is so vital.
The Advisor Says: The Leesa Sapira Chill is a sophisticated hybrid bed that looks and feels classy. We were especially taken with how well it adapted to back and side sleeping. On her back, our tester felt like the Medium model was stable and supportive; on her side, it seemed to soften up to better cushion her shoulders and hips. The Nectar Original is an all-foam mattress constructed with premium materials at a price point ideal for budget shoppers. Our senior staff writer, Sosha Lewis, recently tested Nectar’s updated version of this mattress. Despite its firmer feel than the previous iteration, Sosha shared that it’s still exceptional at pressure relief for her as an average-weight sleeper, giving the bed a 5 out of 5 for pressure relief.
The Advisor Says: The DreamCloud is a pleasantly supportive hybrid that really appealed to the stomach sleepers on our testing team (though it proved itself capable of aligning spines in every position). Its affordable price and couple-friendly features have made it a mainstay of the bed-in-a-box scene.
Granted, comfort will vary depending on your preferences, but we generally consider beds that have a good mix of pressure relief and support to be highly comfortable options. DreamCloud’s flagship bed is a hybrid mattress that offers top-tier pressure relief with sturdy support to provide comfort for many sleepers. In fact, this mattress scored high marks in both of these performance categories from our testers.
The Advisor Says: Our testers often compare the WinkBed to a luxury hotel mattress, which is no surprise given its handcrafted touches and elegant hybrid design. It’s also one of the most customizable beds out there, with a firmness level for every body type.

Earning a 5 out of 5 from our team for pressure relief, the Noah Evolution is a premium hybrid mattress. The bed’s AirFoamICE™ Cooling Layer helps provide that pressure relief while working to keep the bed space nice and cool. When she tested the Evolution’s pressure relief, Sosha used a pressure map to see if there was any pressure buildup while she was on her side and back. The Advisor Says: The Bear Star Hybrid touts an enviable medium-firm feel that should appeal to a swath of mattress shoppers, including couples with different preferences looking to “compromise.” We gave this hybrid perfect scores in pressure relief, support, and motion transfer.
If you’re an athlete or highly active person, you want your mattress to be a refuge where your body can get optimal comfort to rest and recover. During her testing of the Bear Star Hybrid, Sosha gave this bed perfect scores in both pressure relief and support, both of which should help athletes recover after intense workouts.
The Advisor Says: Brooklyn Bedding’s Aurora Luxe features a swath of cooling features in its quality hybrid construction. We recommend this bed for anyone who wants a firmer, luxurious-feeling bed without the high price tag.

One of our testers, Spencer Bland, is a heavyweight sleeper, so we were able to use his insights to see if this bed actually lived up to its design purpose, and it did not disappoint. The Advisor Says: We’re constantly calling this mattress one of the firmest in the online market, and if you don’t believe us, try it for yourself! It offers both a classic firm and extra-firm feel in its flippable design, alongside posture-aligning support. Bonus points for good marks in performance for cooling, bounce, and couples.
The Plank Firm is a fantastic match for anyone who likes to be more ‘on top of’ their mattress rather than ‘in’ it. This mattress comes with a dual-sided construction; while the Firm side has more of a standard firm feel to it, the Extra-Firm side is considerably firmer. Our testing team, who rates mattress firmness on a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being the firmest), gave the Firm side a 7 out of 10 rating and the Extra-Firm side an 8.5 out of 10 rating.
The Advisor Says: Dare we say the Birch Natural is the bed that comes to mind when we think latex? As the name implies, this bed combines natural components with quality construction, yielding a supportive, luxurious, and eco-friendly mattress.
Latex is becoming more and more popular, offering shoppers an alternative to memory foam beds. Whereas memory foam is synthetic, slow-moving, and traps heat, latex is often more eco-friendly, responsive, and cooler. The Emma Hybrid Comfort is a firmer bed (our testers rated it a 7 out of 10 for firmness), but that doesn’t mean it skimps on pressure relief. Due to its firmer feel, this one should appeal to you if you like to sleep on your stomach since it’s more apt to keep your hips nice and level so that your lower back doesn’t uncomfortably hyperextend.
How to Find the Best Cyber Monday Mattress Sales

Consider Your Cyber Monday Budget
- Is affordability a top priority? Many top mattress companies also sell their products online, cutting out overhead costs and passing those savings on to consumers. Retailers like Amazon also offer lots of budget mattresses that can be used for guest rooms.

Shopping In-Store vs. Online

We mentioned earlier that you should know what you need in a mattress ahead of time. Below, we’ll cover certain considerations you may or may not have thought of, which can help you narrow down what’s most important based on your unique needs and preferences.
Your Sleeping Position

- Are you a combination sleeper? Combo sleepers change up their sleeping position, so they need something adaptable for different postures. Mattress Firmness
We rate mattress firmness (how hard or soft it feels) on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the firmest. Most mattresses we test fall somewhere in the middle, with a 6 or 6.5 rating, though we definitely encounter some softer or firmer than this. Also, some brands make mattresses that come in different firmness levels to cater to more people.

Cooling Capabilities
If you’re a hot sleeper, prioritizing a cooling mattress this Cyber Monday could be a game changer. Some beds are cool to the touch and others try to disperse heat from the surface to help with temperature regulation.
Mattress companies provide cooling in various ways, such as infusing gel in memory foam, using open-cell foams or coils, and covering the bed in a breathable fabric.
Motion Isolation
Motion isolation is helpful for those who sleep beside someone, whether it’s a partner, child, or pet. This is because it’s a measurement of how much the bed absorbs movement when someone moves around, meaning the more motion is absorbed, the less likely you’ll feel (and be disturbed by) their tossing and turning.

Bounce
Buoyancy in a mattress can help keep you from feeling stuck when you try to reposition, and it’s often useful for combination sleepers, people with limited mobility, and sexually active couples.
Innerspring and latex beds are typically the most bouncy, whereas memory foam is more slow-moving. If you love memory foam but want some bounce too, we recommend a memory foam hybrid since the coils should give you some responsiveness against the foam.
Edge Support
Edge support is going to be important if you like to spread out or use the bed often for sitting. Look for mattresses that have some sort of reinforcement on the sides, either from stronger foams or coils, but don’t rely on this alone.
