Big Fig Construction

The Big Fig is a 13 inch tall mattress topped with a hand-tufted ThermoGel-treated fabric cover, which should feel soft, plush, and cool. The cover has also been hand-tufted to prevent materials from shifting and to help extend the life of the mattress. The fabric in the cover consists of a 66 percent polyurethane blend, 30 percent viscose, and 4 percent poly/lycra.

• The top is made of three layers of high-density poly foam, serving as the comfort layers of this mattress. The poly foam should add support, cushioning, and pressure response, and it should be firm enough to prevent sagging.
• The center is an 8-inch innerspring layer containing 1,600 individually wrapped coils. The coils add sturdy support and airflow to this mattress, along with minimal motion transfer. This mattress also uses 80 ILD Edge Foam for excellent edge support.
• The bottom is also made with high-density poly foam for further support and durability.

WinkBed Plus Construction

The WinkBed Plus is a 13.5-inch tall mattress topped with a eucalyptus-derived Tencel® cover, which should feel soft and cool to the touch. The button-tufting on the cover should improve durability, and the layers underneath are gently cradling and pressure-relieving.

• Beneath the cover is 1 inch of gel-infused hypersoft foam that’s denser to reduce sagging.
• The comfort layer contains an extra inch of dense foam.
• The Dunlop latex support pad is 2.5 inches thick with seven support zones for enhanced lifting and comfort. This layer also has an open cell construction for help with cooling.
• The Lumbar Layer features a high-density foam to further support good spinal alignment.
• The innerspring unit features individually-wrapped coils specially made for heavier individuals. Additionally, perimeter coils feature the brand’s Extra-Edge™ Support System for added edge support.
• The bottom layer is 1 inch of support foam for added stability.

• Warranty – Big Fig offers a 20-year warranty, and WinkBed offers a limited lifetime warranty.
• Shipping – Shipping for both mattresses is free within the contiguous United States. Big Fig charges an extra fee for shipments to Hawaii or Alaska. WinkBeds will ship their mattress to Alaska for an extra fee, but they do not ship to Hawaii.
• Trial Period – Both mattresses come with a 120-night risk-free trial period. Within this period, you can return the mattress for a full refund. WinkBed limits this trial period to one per person, so if you decide to return the WinkBed Plus, your next mattress by WinkBed would only have a 60-night trial.
• Returns – Both mattresses are free to return if you decide they are not right for you.
• Price – These beds are very similar in price. While the Big Fig is slightly pricier in smaller sizes, the WinkBed Plus is more costly for Queen size and up.
