My BCozzy Neck Pillow Review for 2024

If you’re over trying to sleep on a traditional neck pillow, I have some good news. I tested the BCozzy neck pillow on a flight, and it was a charm. This is an adjustable pillow, which means it should fit a range of people. Plus, it’s thinner than the traditional neck pillows we typically carry when traveling.

This neck pillow has a unique design that makes it easier to fit around your neck, depending on how your head usually falls when you sleep. This makes it more likely you’ll be able to sleep nicely on any drive or flight.

In this article, I want to take you through all the qualities I liked and what I didn’t like about the BCozzy neck pillow. I’ll also go over important buying factors when choosing a pillow such as durability, trial, warranty, and more.

Sleep Advisor’s Testing Methodology

Testing neck pillows is always best to do when traveling, which is exactly what I did with the BCozzy model. This way, I can tell if it actually works for what it’s meant to or not. I test for factors such as its feel, ease of use, and overall comfort.

Who Is the BCozzy Pillow Best for?

Pros: Who Might Like the BCozzy Pillow:

  • People with smaller necks – If you have a smaller neck, you probably need a thinner pillow. In this case, I think the BCozzy neck pillow could be a good choice.
  • People who need chin support – This neck pillow has some of the best chin support to keep your head upright when you travel.
  • Those who sit in the middle seat – This neck provides good support for those who are sitting in the middle seat on an airplane.

Cons: Who Might Not Like the BCozzy Pillow :

  • Those who travel a lot – Although this was a comfortable pillow to fly with, I think it might not last a long time, given the customer reviews. Some people raise the question of durability, saying the core doesn’t offer the same support after a few months.
  • People who use low-hanging earplugs – If you’re using low-hanging earplugs or headphones, they might touch the pillow. If they’re too low, you might not even be able to use the BCozzy pillow.
  • People who have a wide neck – If you have a wider neck, you might find the BCozzy pillow too tight when you attach the two sides. In this case, you might want to go for one of the larger sizes.

What Is the BCozzy Pillow Made Of?

Cover

The cover is made entirely of polyester and is gentle to the touch. The good thing is that it’s removable and washable, which should make cleaning a breeze. You can also choose among three colors to match your preferred aesthetic.

Core

The core of the BCozzy neck pillow is also polyester. While you have color options with the BCozzy, the material is the same throughout the product.

BCozzy Pillow Firmness & Feel

Firmness

The BCozzy neck pillow has a medium firmness, so I wouldn’t say it’s too firm or too soft. It’s right there in the middle, which is why I think it would work for many people. Unfortunately, there are no additional firmness options with this pillow if that’s what you’re looking for.

Feel

This neck pillow feels comfortable and cozy, and it has one of the best chin support systems, which is another plus in my book. The Velcro on each side also makes it easy to adjust how tight or loose you want it to feel.

Loft

When you first look at it, the BCozzy neck pillow isn’t very tall. The height is 4.7 inches, so it works great for people with a smaller neck. In my opinion, the loft is comfortable, but what I like the most is that it’s adjustable; when you attach the two sides, you make the loft taller, which is great for chin support.

Weight (Density of the Pillow)

This is a lightweight neck pillow, so carrying it around shouldn’t be an issue. It’s 7.4 ounces, which is pretty okay for a neck pillow you’ll most likely carry around all the time.

Sleeping on the BCozzy Pillow

I tested the BCozzy neck pillow on a flight and was able to get a good sleep. This is a comfortable pillow that provides a good amount of support, especially for the chin. In my opinion, this is good news for when you sit in the middle seat.

This pillow is adjustable, so you can work around your neck to find the perfect size. I can see how it can be a little tight for some people, but for me, it felt nice, and sleeping on it was spot-on.

Sleep Advisor’s Performance Ratings for the BCozzy Pillow

Temperature

2/5

The BCozzy neck pillow is not a cooling one, so don’t expect to feel an obvious cooling sensation. The polyester doesn’t feel particularly hot, but it can get hot over time. If you’re traveling in a hot climate or are a hot sleeper, you might want to look for an entirely different neck pillow with more cooling materials.

Support

5/5

The BCozzy neck pillow has among the best support systems I’ve come across. The Velcro helps you find the fit and support level that works best for you. On top of that, when you attach the two sides, you get a somewhat taller loft size that helps keep the chin up if you lean forward.

Durability

3/5

I can’t say much about the durability of the BCozzy neck pillow because I’ve only tested it a few times. However, I can say it feels like it has average durability. Some customers reported that it doesn’t stand the test of time in terms of support. In other words, the BCozzy might not be as supportive after a few months when the materials wear down.

Comfort

5/5

This is one of the few neck pillows that doesn’t feel suffocating or as though I’m wearing a neck brace. However, it might feel a little tight if you have a wider neck, in which case you should consider a larger pillow size. Overall, the BCozzy is quite comfortable and supports the head well, which is especially useful while in the middle seat with no window to lean on.

Off-Gassing

4/5

The BCozzy neck pillow had that new product smell. While it’s not an uncomfortable smell, you might want to let it vent for a few hours before using it if you’re particularly sensitive.

Allergens

1/5

This neck pillow has no third-party certifications, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive or allergic to anything you might potentially find in this pillow. Generally speaking, it shouldn’t have any allergens, but I can see why the lack of certifications can be a drawback for some people.

Cleaning & Care

5/5

Cleaning the BCozzy neck pillow is as easy as it gets. The cover is removable and machine washable, but the company doesn’t recommend tumble drying. Instead, it’s best to line-dry the cover to prevent the material from shrinking. Also, you’re not supposed to use any bleach.

Sleep Trial & Warranty

1/5

Unfortunately, I couldn’t confirm any information on the trial or warranty for the BCozzy neck pillow. For this reason, I gave it a lower score here.

BCozzy Pillow Frequently Asked Questions

What is the correct way to use a neck pillow?

How you’ll use a neck pillow depends largely on the kind of pillow you have. Most neck pillows are simple to use. Typically, travel neck pillows will be placed around the neck to keep the neck and head supported. When it comes to the BCozzy model, this pillow has a velcro to adjust the size.

Do neck pillows actually work?

In my opinion, neck pillows are excellent for more comfort while sleeping during a trip. They do work, but it’s important to get a neck pillow that fits your shape, needs, and preferences. Luckily, there are countless models to pick from if the BCozzy neck pillow doesn’t work for you.

Do neck pillows count as a carry-on?

Neck pillows don’t count as a carry-on. Rather, a carry-on is a bag or a small suitcase, and in most cases, you’ll be allowed to bring a neck pillow as a personal item. Also, neck pillows are so small and lightweight, they don’t make much of a change for the overall weight you’re carrying.

My Final Thoughts on the BCozzy Neck Pillow

The BCozzy neck pillow was fun to test out, and it has standout pros to it. The pillow is easy to adjust to better accommodate you. Plus, it offers outstanding chin support so that your head doesn’t lean forward, which means less chance of waking up with neck pain. I can also see this neck pillow being extra useful when you sit in the middle seat without a window or a shoulder to lean on.

Now, the drawbacks. As I said, I couldn’t test its long-term durability, but some people pointed out it might not last a long time if you travel a lot. Overall, this pillow earned a score of 3.2 out of 5. However, this is mostly because the pillow didn’t have any third-party certifications or trial and warranty information available. It did excel at other important categories for travel pillows, though, which are comfort and support.
