Support

For the most part, our reviewers felt supported in each sleeping position on both of these mattresses, regardless of their weight.

Our reviewers noted that the Birch bed’s coils provide lower back support, which is nice when lying on your back. The reinforced edge coils along the perimeter provide great edge support at the ends of the bed.

The Avocado mattress has zoned coils that provide more tailored support for the body, delivering extra lifting to the heavier areas. Similar to the Birch, the Avocado has reinforced edges as well.

Feel

However, in previous testing with this mattress, we didn’t notice as much motion isolation as we have with memory foam-based products, for instance.
